Reshaping communications to Get The Nation Learning
Reshaping communications to Get The Nation Learning
The evidence is clear – when adults learn, our society and economy thrive.
Lifelong learning has the power to transform lives: boosting growth and productivity, strengthening communities, and opening doors to richer, more fulfilling lives.
And yet, during the last decade public investment in adult learning fell and employer spending on workplace training also declined. Inequalities in access to opportunities for learning have widened.
It was time to rethink how we communicate the importance of lifelong learning – to ensure the greatest possible impact in the future.
Jack & Grace partnered with Learning and Work Institute (L&W) to advise how to reshape communications to drive meaningful change in a shifting environment.
Through in-depth stakeholder insight gathering, internal workshops and market analysis, we uncovered a strong appetite for a campaign that actively shifts mindsets, inspires action, and advocates for policy change.
A bold new direction
Working closely with L&W, we reimagined existing communications to develop a campaign that reflects this ambition. The result? Get The Nation Learning.
A campaign able to build a movement for change – uniting policymakers, employers, and community-led organisations around a shared mission: ensure every adult has the opportunity to learn throughout life. Because when adults learn, society and the economy thrive.
Impact
The launch of Get The Nation Learning marked a step change in ambition for adult learning, and that’s been met with strong support from businesses, charities and education providers alike. More than 100 organisations signed the campaign Charter in its first few months, signalling their commitment to:
- recognise the benefits of lifelong learning for people, society and the economy
- commit to building a future where everyone can learn throughout life
- lead by example to get the nation learning.
